Visit of the Montessori Kindergarten - First Steps into a Digital Adventure

A day of play, learning, and technological wonder

Once again  in Savremena Primary School opened its doors to curious little minds — this time to the children from Montessori Kindergarten, who spent an unforgettable day discovering how fun and exciting learning can be. Their visit turned into a true educational adventure filled with creativity, innovation, and smiles.

From the moment they entered the school, the children were fascinated by the bright classrooms, interactive spaces, and warm welcome from Savremena’s teachers. Every corner of the school offered something new to explore — from robots and VR technology to colourful LEGO creations. For many of them, this was their first encounter with a modern classroom, and their enthusiasm was contagious.

Pepper – the robot that speaks the language of curiosity
Hands-on fun with MeeBot robots and LEGO bricks

The children’s faces lit up when they met Pepper, Savremena’s humanoid robot and beloved classroom assistant. Pepper greeted them with cheerful gestures, told stories, answered questions, and even danced — instantly winning their hearts.
Through their interaction with Pepper, the children discovered that technology can be friendly, approachable, and inspiring. This unique encounter helped them understand that robots aren’t just machines — they can also be learning partners who spark creativity and encourage curiosity.

After meeting Pepper, the young visitors took part in creative workshops where they played with MeeBot kits and LEGO blocks. With a bit of imagination and teamwork, they built small moving robots, colourful structures, and playful inventions that combined logic and creativity.
Each new creation brought laughter, excitement, and pride. Through these activities, the children developed teamwork, focus, and persistence — core skills that form the foundation of learning. The blend of robotics and play reflected Savremena’s approach to education: when children learn by doing, their curiosity becomes limitless.

Exploring the world through VR and digital play

The adventure continued with VR headsets and interactive tablets that opened the door to new, immersive worlds. With just one click, the children could “travel” across oceans, climb mountains, and explore forests — all from their classroom.
On the tablets, they played educational games that helped them improve memory, focus, and creative thinking. These digital experiences showed that learning doesn’t have to be confined to books — it can happen through imagination, exploration, and discovery.
