Tolerance Week and Children’s Rights Week were celebrated at Savremena Primary School with a series of workshops designed to inspire students to think about respect, understanding, and the importance of mutual support. Through engaging activities and the involvement of parents, psychologists, and teachers, students had the opportunity to explore the themes of tolerance and empathy in a creative and educational way.

Fourth-grade students, with the support of their mothers, created holiday-themed cards and wrote messages about respect, love, and the importance of tolerance. These activities demonstrated how a simple act, like making cards, can deliver a powerful message about understanding and togetherness.

The school psychologist, Milena Tarbuk, held workshops for sixth-grade students on the topics of exclusion from peer groups and responsible behavior in the digital environment. Students actively participated in discussions, analyzed scenarios, and proposed solutions to overcome such challenges.

Parent Nenad Žujić led an interactive workshop with second-grade students, while Jelena Sopić, the mother of a fourth-grade student, engaged younger children in fun activities about emotions and friendship. The children connected hearts as symbols of friendship and learned the importance of nurturing relationships filled with understanding and support.

This week reminded students of the importance of valuing diversity, offering mutual support, and being responsible members of the community. Through workshops that were both enjoyable and educational, the children gained new knowledge and developed empathy.
