Primary School Savremena was proud to host experts from TinkerLab on October 15th, who conducted two interactive workshops where our students could discover the fascinating world of science through exciting experiments. This workshop, part of the Life Skills programme, provided a perfect opportunity for young researchers to apply their knowledge in science and technology in a hands-on way.

Led by five TinkerLab educators, our students eagerly created their own volcanoes using baking soda and vinegar, observing a process of neutralisation that resulted in a foamy eruption. Through these chemical reactions, the children learned chemistry basics in a fun and creative manner.

Throughout the workshop, our young explorers were able to distinguish different types of rocks, uncover the secrets of botany, and learn about the importance of chlorophyll in plant life. They were introduced to the STEAM approach, which integrates science with art, allowing them to develop critical thinking and logical reasoning through practical activities and exploration.

This workshop is just one of many within the Life Skills programme at Savremena, which aims to provide children with practical knowledge and skills for everyday life. Our young researchers finished the day full of inspiration and even more curiosity about the world of science.
