Third-grade students at Savremena Primary School had the opportunity to spend a STEAM day engaging in an activity that combines tradition, creativity, and science—planting Christmas wheat. This unique activity allowed them to explore and learn more about this beautiful custom while developing skills in various fields such as science, art, and engineering.

The day began with research—students first read and discussed the tradition of planting Christmas wheat and its significance. They then learned about the process of planting, the conditions necessary for plant growth, and developed an awareness of the importance of caring for nature.

After the theoretical part, the students unleashed their creativity by decorating pots, which they carefully prepared for planting. This activity allowed them to showcase their imagination, patience, and dedication.

Finally, the students planted the Christmas wheat seeds with great care and enthusiasm. The process was not only educational but also incredibly fun, as the children enjoyed every step, from research to planting.
