Third-Grade Project in Global Perspectives Classes
Kindness through Creativity and Learning
Third and fourth grade students of Primary School Savremena had the opportunity to participate in an educational-adventure trip to explore the natural and cultural-historical landmarks of the village of Tekeriš. As part of our school’s regular activities aimed at helping children acquire knowledge and skills through practical experience, our young explorers spent an unforgettable day surrounded by nature and history.
During Global Perspectives classes, third-grade students of Primary School Savremena carried out a creative project on the theme of “Kindness”. This inspiring project allowed students to explore the topic of kindness and empathy in various ways while simultaneously developing essential life skills and reflecting on the values that make the world a better place.
What is Global Perspectives?

Global Perspectives is a unique subject that is part of the international Cambridge programme. Its main goal is to develop critical thinking, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and global awareness among students. Through various topics and project-based tasks, students learn to think about global issues and challenges, connecting them with their own experiences and local environments.
The “Kindness” Project – Why is it Important?
The purpose of this project was to encourage students to reflect on the importance of kindness in everyday life while fostering creativity, teamwork, and communication skills. Students had the freedom to choose how to present the topic – through a story, song, poster, video recording, or other creative forms.
One of the most remarkable works was a story titled “Never judge a book by its cover”, written by student Lucy Scivally from class III-3. Lucy independently conceived and wrote a story that conveys a powerful message of tolerance and acceptance of differences, demonstrating a deep understanding of the topic and impressive narrative skills for her age.
Why Is This Project Beneficial for Children?
Through the “Kindness” project, students had the opportunity to:
- develop emotional intelligence – by reflecting on what it means to be kind and how actions affect others;
- connect with global values – by learning that kindness is valued across various cultures and communities worldwide;
- express creativity – through different artistic and literary forms they crafted themselves;
- build self-confidence – by publicly presenting their work and discussing it with peers and teachers.
In this way students not only expand their knowledge of global issues but also develop an awareness of the importance of kindness and empathy in everyday life. Projects like this make learning engaging and inspiring, while children, through creative tasks, learn how to become responsible and compassionate members of society.
We congratulate all students on their hard work and creativity!
