Successful September for students at Savremena primary school

Versatile talents mark the month with numerous awards, inspiring the community

September was an exceptionally successful month for the students of Savremena Primary School, marked by outstanding achievements in various sports disciplines. Their effort and dedication paid off, bringing them numerous awards and recognitions. These accomplishments inspired their peers and illuminated the path to future successes.

Luka Macura

Nine-year-old Luka Macura won second place at the Central European Championship held in Ptuj, Slovenia. Despite facing unfavorable weather conditions and less experience compared to the competition, Luka displayed exceptional skill and determination during the qualifiers and the first race. This success heralds a bright future in karting, and he will represent Serbia at a prestigious competition in Valencia this October.

Luka Vasiljević – Tennis

Luka Vasiljević from class IV-2 won two awards in September! He secured first place at the Belgrade Open for the under-10 category and second place in the same category at a tennis tournament in Jagodina. Tennis, a sport that demands outstanding endurance, tactical thinking, and precision, presents numerous challenges. Luka, through his perseverance and talent, has shown that he can tackle all these challenges, inspiring his peers to engage in this exciting sport.

Isak Ilievski – Football

Isak from IV-2, along with his football club, won first place at the Fairplay League finals. Football promotes teamwork, cooperation, and physical fitness. Isak’s commitment to training and teamwork contributed to his success, and the award they received serves as an inspiration for all young footballers to strive together for victory.

Dmitrij Dunski – Theater

Sixth grader Dmitrij Dunski traveled to Moscow, his hometown, to perform in a play. Theater represents a blend of art and emotion, and Dmitrij’s performance showcased his talent and ability to convey a story to the audience. This opportunity opens doors to new possibilities and demonstrates the importance of following one’s dreams, no matter how distant they may seem.

Simon Osećanski – Judo

Simon Osećanski from III-3 participated in the “CRVENA ZVEZDA CUP 2024” judo competition, where he won third place. Daria Čudak – Rhythmic gymnastics

Second grader Daria Čudak won a gold medal at the International Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition held in Sarajevo on September 20. Nađa Stanković – Equestrian

Nađa Stanković from class 8-2 achieved a notable result at the Open Championship of the Republic of Serbia in dressage in 2024.
