Students of Primary School Savremena were thrilled with their visit to International School
Here are some of the impressions of our fourth and fifth-graders
Students of Primary School Savremena recently had the opportunity to visit International School during the “Open Day”. This special event allowed students to become part of the dynamic and international educational environment offered by International School for a day.
Unforgettable experience at IS
Filled with impressions, students returned with excitement, sharing their experiences with peers and teachers. One of the most striking parts of the visit was participating in interactive history, mathematics, and art classes, where students had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the holistic and interactive teaching approach nurtured at International School.
“The teachers were very kind to us and gave us a warm welcome. The classes are entirely in English, which I really like. Students at International School come from different parts of the world, and it was interesting for me to see students from other cultures through the school”, said Teodora Panćika, a fourth-grade student.
Satisfied children – satisfied parents
Parents were also thrilled with this experience, emphasising the importance of getting to know different educational systems and methods that can help their children achieve their academic goals.
On this occasion, International School confirmed its reputation as a school that promotes high-quality, internationally oriented education, providing students and parents with a detailed insight into its educational approach and the opportunities it offers.
Three fourth-graders from Primary School Savremena shared their experience with us, and you can read their impressions on Facebook and Instagram right away.
More about International School
At International School, students are prepared for further education abroad from the very beginning. The classes are conducted entirely in English, and the curriculum is adapted to internationally oriented education.
For students from Primary School Savremena who plan to continue their education beyond the borders of our country or prefer studying in English, we have provided special benefits if they decide to transfer to International School. This way, your child stays in a modern system that guarantees quality and dedication, while also taking a step closer to achieving the academic goal they aspire to.
Mateja's experience – from a student of Primary School Savremena to a fifth-grader of International School
Mateja Baketarić began his educational journey at Primary School Savremena and continued as a student at International School. Mateja decided, after successful and exciting schooling at Primary School Savremena, to finish the fifth grade at IS.
“My mission and vision have always included studying in the UK, ideally in London, and for me, this school represents an important step on the long academic journey that awaits me. In classes, I feel the freedom to express my ideas, and I believe that teachers are capable of recognising them and helping further in their development. Regarding technology, of course, the school is modern and up-to-date. I think one of the things that fascinates me when thinking about International School is the unique family atmosphere that is felt immediately upon becoming part of the school”, explains Mateja.
After three years at International School, Mateja and his parents are confident that the transition was one of the best decisions when it comes to his education. When asked what they consider the biggest benefit of studying at IS, Mateja’s parents said:
“Teachers and mentors strive to recognise the individual affinities of each child and guide them toward a much broader understanding of the topic that interests them through participation in various extracurricular activities, projects, and competitions that require and encourage improvement at a significantly higher level than that provided by the curriculum. For example, Mateja, as a Y9 student (8th grade), was registered by International School and participated in a competition for high school seniors organised by the Belgrade Banking Academy, where he won a special award for the Business case he presented, which would not have been possible without the recognition of his potential and support from teachers and the school.”
