Students of Primary School Savremena IV-3 class enjoyed a unique opportunity to participate in an interactive online workshop on magnetism, led by Michael Gregory, a distinguished professor and collaborator of the CERN institute.

Michael Gregory, known for his inspirational educational methods, introduced the students of IV-3 to the basics of magnetism through a series of experiments. The students actively participated in practical activities involving the use of different types of magnets and paper to explore their strength and properties. This hands-on session allowed the students to directly experience scientific phenomena, which contributed to a better understanding and greater interest in natural sciences.

Michael Gregory is not only a professor of natural sciences but also a researcher who shares his knowledge by traveling the world. A collaborator of CERN, Gregory is known for his work with gifted students and is the recipient of the prestigious SonS award. His workshops, which combine theoretical knowledge and practical activities, are favorites among young researchers worldwide. While conducting the workshop from Argentina, students were particularly interested in observing the time differences and hearing about Gregory’s adventures. His departure to the airport for a new destination at the end of the lecture left a lasting impression on the students, inspiring them to dream big and strive for the discovery of new knowledge.
