At the end of September, for the first time, the RTS cross-country running event was held at Savremena. Besides the cross-country running, our students also participated in the traditional basketball tournament.

The cross-country running event began with a signal from the Minister of Education, Slavica Đukić Dejanović, directly from the RTS studio, and the competition was organised by age groups for several dozen participants.

Here are our top-performing students:

• First grade: Aleksandra Milenković (I-3) and Milica Ašanin (I-3);
• Second grade: Nikša Janjušević (II-2) and Jekaterina Ivančuk (II-3);
• Third grade: Vuk Đurđević (III-3), Emili Frančisković (III-2) and Andrej Glišović (III-1);
• Fourth grade: Filimon Kežman (IV-2) and Dunja Marković (IV-1);
• Fifth grade: Vojin Janjušević (V-1) and Mila Dželetović (V-1);
• Sixth grade: Đorđe Bojičić (VI-2) and Vana Vlaović (VI-1);
• Seventh grade: Đorđe Nenezić (VII-3) and Hajdi Gajić (VII-2);
• Eighth grade: Pavle Micić (VIII-2) and Mia Milošević (VIII-2).

A few days after the cross-country running event, our school also organised the traditional basketball tournament.

Tournaments are a great way for our students to express team spirit and collective abilities, and the winners of this tournament were students from VIII-2.

Primary School Savremena is proud of all the participants in both events. We will continue to nurture the sportsmanship that is extremely important for our school in the future.
