Shapes, colours and friendship – the foundations of great learning
First steps into the big world of learning
Preschoolers stepped into classrooms designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Through drawing, colouring, and their very first tasks, they got to know their peers, learning that school is not just a place for academics but also a space for shared growth. Such an environment gives children a sense of safety and belonging from the very beginning, which is essential for their emotional well-being. When a child experiences school from day one as a friendly and supportive place, they build a positive attitude towards learning that lasts throughout their education.

Creativity as the first language
In their first art classes, preschoolers worked in groups to create projects on the theme of shapes and colours. This creative task was not only a chance for play – it helped children develop fine motor skills, concentration, and the ability to express emotions through colour and form. By painting together, children learn to value the ideas of others, building empathy and tolerance. Art becomes their first language, a tool that helps them better understand themselves and communicate with others in ways that go beyond words. From an early age, they are encouraged to grow into children who are free to think, create, and share.
Learning through play and friendship
At Savremena, we nurture the idea that play is the most natural way to learn. Through team activities, preschoolers developed essential social skills – learning how to cooperate, take turns, offer help, and motivate each other. Such experiences directly support their emotional maturity, teaching them to recognise the feelings of their peers and to build relationships based on trust and togetherness. At the same time, creative play develops logical thinking and problem-solving skills that will support their future schooling. In this way, play becomes the foundation not only of knowledge, but also of character.
Savremena – A school that grows with its students
The arrival of our preschool group shows that Savremena Primary School is constantly moving forward in education, caring for children at every stage of their development. Our youngest pupils now have the opportunity to grow in an environment where their cognitive, social, and emotional skills are nurtured from day one. This creates a bridge between preschool and primary education – a process in which children transition smoothly and securely into the role of students. Such an approach allows them to become more independent, confident in their abilities, and prepared for the challenges ahead. At Savremena, we don’t just educate kids – we raise young people with values and knowledge that will guide them through life.
