CLUBS AND WORKSHOPS
A PLACE WHERE STUDENTS NOURISH THEIR TALENTS
Savremena’s students can choose among a wide variety of non-mandatory extracurricular activities. The clubs are the place where they nourish their talents, advance various skills, develop friendships and have a good time.
Whether your child likes to act, write, draw, play music or work on a computer, Savremena will certainly be able to offer just the right club. Some clubs are exclusively for younger children, while their older friends also have adequate clubs and workshops that cater to their interests.
COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT OF CHILD’S PERSONALITY AND TALENTS
Savremena’s dedicated teachers never stop encouraging the development of each student’s talents and affinities. They help the children develop freely, respecting their individuality and minding their specific wishes and needs.
No two children are the same. Someone has a talent for acting, someone else for programming, while someone enjoys reading. At Savremena, we are aware that we can make a proper contribution to the development of the child’s whole personality only if we encourage the development of each individual child’s talents, uniqueness and creativity. We work on this with great dedication, every single day.
FOR ACTORS AND ACTRESSES
Savremena’s drama club provides an opportunity for our little stars to fully shine on stage. Performing in plays adequate for younger and older schoolchildren will let your child have a good time and enjoy the peers’ applause.
This club also offers recitation exercises and preparation for recitation contests, which helps your child overcome stage fright.
STARS OF CLASSICAL MUSIC, POP AND ROCK
If your child loves to sing or play music, the music club is the right place for this talent to blossom and be supported by adequate skills. Kids have fun performing a wide repertoire – from well-known children’s songs for the youngest, to classical pieces and contemporary hits for older students.
Savremena’s musicians prepare for a big end-of-the-year show, where your child becomes a proper little star.
SKILLFUL ARTISTS
The art club lets your child express their creativity through drawing, painting, sculpting… Younger children create their early works of art using modelling clay, crayons and brushes.
This club is also adequate for older students, who learn the fundamentals of drawing, painting and sculpting. Children’s work is shown at the school gallery.
LITTLE COOKS
Savremena’s students have all the skills that might help them find their way and develop independence. These important skills include cooking, but this area of cooperation is not limited to the children, as we will work with the parents, too.
We nurture a healthy attitude towards nutrition and the environment, and strive to impart the culinary skills that promote proper and healthy diet, adequate for their age and their nutritional needs, including the preparation of healthy meals.
DANCERS
Dancing lessons have been introduced for students of different ages who would like to develop this noble and fun talent.
Learning a wide range of dances – waltz, foxtrott, tango… – lets your kid become a true dancing star and have a great time doing it.
FUN PROGRAMMING
In addition to literacy in language and mathematics, today’s children also need digital literacy. Programming lessons are available to all students.
Younger students learn the basic concepts of programming through examples adequate for their age, while their older friends create simple programs and video games of their own.
CHOOSE THE BEST FOR YOUR CHILD
These clubs and workshops are not mandatory. Groups are formed according to the children’s age: for students in the first four grades and for students in grades 5 through 8. Certain workshops are held periodically, if the interest is sufficient and at parents’ request, and require bringing in external associates and experts in relevant fields. A child can join an unlimited number of clubs, but once they start, regular attendance is desirable.
