Savremena Second Graders at the Knowledge and Fun Camp on Bukulja
A Weekend to Remember
Second grade students from Primary School Savremena spent an unforgettable weekend at a camp on Bukulja, where they took part in an exciting educational and recreational program. During their stay, our young learners had the opportunity to explore different fields through six themed workshops designed to connect knowledge, creativity, and teamwork.
This unique camp adventure blended learning and fun in a modern way, encouraging curiosity, a spirit of exploration, and collaboration among students. Through various “labs”, the children acquired practical knowledge and skills, developed logical thinking and communication, while also nurturing imagination and physical activity.
Learning Through Play: Six Themed Labs for Developing a Range of Talents

The camp program was carefully designed to cover a variety of interests, with each “lab” offering a special experience and dynamic activities tailored to the age of the students:
- The Math and Science Lab allowed children to explore the wonders of nature and the world of numbers through experiments and logic-based challenges.
- Music and Stage Performance Lab – students discovered the rhythm of numbers, the connection between math and music, and the basics of stage expression through fun games and exercises.
- Visual Arts and Design Lab – students transformed numbers into colors and shapes, encouraging creativity through drawing, shaping, and creating original visual designs.
- The Sports and Fun Lab was the perfect place for play, teamwork, and motor skill development through various physical challenges and engaging sports games.
- In the Language Lab students learned new words, played language games, and enhanced their communication skills in both Serbian and English.
Our Little Chefs Lab introduced children to healthy eating and basic culinary skills, allowing them to prepare simple yet delicious meals with the guidance of their teachers.
A Camp That Builds Character: Connection, Independence, and Team Spirit
In addition to the educational content, the Bukulja camp provided students with a chance to spend quality time in nature, fostering independence and stronger peer connections. Outside the classroom, children learned how to cooperate, make decisions, share responsibilities, and support one another.
Such experiences are particularly important for children’s emotional and social development, as they help build self-confidence and a sense of belonging – core values at Primary School Savremena.
Modern Education in Action: A Blend of Knowledge, Play, and Real-Life Skills
The weekend camp on Bukulja once again demonstrated how Primary School Savremena embraces a holistic approach to education – one that balances academic skills, creativity, and emotional growth.
Learning doesn’t have to happen only at a desk – when knowledge is combined with experience, movement, art, and play, it becomes vivid, applicable, and lasting. Our students proved that once again – curious, engaged, full of questions and smiles.
Savremena’s second graders left Bukulja with much more than memories – they brought back knowledge, friendships, and inspiration that will stay with them long after they return to the classroom.
