As part of the unique ecological initiative “Tree for the Future,” students of Savremena Elementary School, in collaboration with the 1% Foundation and the city’s Greenery, planted trees in the local park, demonstrating their commitment to environmental preservation and the promotion of ecological awareness in their community.

The tree-planting action “Tree for the Future” brought together students of Savremena Elementary School, who, with their own hands, contributed to the greening of the city park. Each planted tree carries a tag with the class or room that planted it, adding a personal touch to this significant ecological endeavor.

If each person or each family planted at least one tree per year, which is a small enough effort that can be achieved, together we would do something big enough to cause a tremendous change! Ultimately, the feeling that a symbolic contribution to this action creates – having your own trees that will grow and be there for decades – is incredible!

The initiative not only promotes tree planting as a key element of ecological awareness and care for the planet but also encourages the community to actively participate in creating a healthier and more beautiful environment for future generations. Through this activity, students learned about the importance of nature conservation and the contribution that an individual can make to the global ecosystem.

For years, Savremena has emphasized environmental education, and by participating in the “Tree for the Future” campaign, it once again demonstrated how education can have a tangible impact on the local community and the environment. Students spent a day enjoying nature and fun, confirming that learning about ecology can be both enjoyable and beneficial.

Through such actions, we continue to nurture and develop ecological awareness among our students, showing that caring for the planet Earth is a responsibility that should be collectively embraced, and that everyone can contribute to positive changes in their surroundings.
