Official recognition from the organisers: a lesson for the system and an inspiration for other schools

This recognition once again confirms that Savremena remains committed to an approach to education that goes far beyond memorising facts. Our focus is on understanding, practical application, and the development of broader competencies that children need for the future.
Participation in projects such as “Čarobno selo” gives students the opportunity to explore, collaborate, and draw conclusions, while providing teachers with space to apply the most effective methods of modern pedagogy.

Through activities like these, students learn to:
• connect classroom knowledge with real-life situations,
• make decisions, plan, and present their ideas,
• develop empathy and observe things from multiple perspectives,
• independently investigate the world around them.

It is precisely this combination of knowledge, creativity, and curiosity that makes Savremena recognised as one of the most innovative schools in Serbia.

The organisers specifically praised:

  • the quality of teachers’ preparation and organisation, 
  • the way students actively participate, 
  • the creative and well-designed activities, 
  • students’ reflections, in which they clearly show what they learned and how they think. 

They stated that Savremena’s work can serve as a model for other schools and as guidance for the entire education system in Serbia.

This recognition confirms once again that Savremena is deeply committed to an approach to education that goes beyond reproducing information — focusing instead on understanding, practical application and the development of broader competencies. Participation in projects such as “Čarobno selo” allows students to explore, collaborate and draw conclusions, while giving teachers the opportunity to apply the most effective methods of modern pedagogy.
