This Saturday, the Palace of Science became a unique venue where art and science came together in harmony. The event “Ballet and Physics – Science in Motion” brought together talented young ballerinas, among whom the students of Primary School Savremena stood out. Marija, Petra, Lucija, and Siena, members of the BeoBalet team and proud students of our school, performed carefully choreographed routines accompanied by scientific explanations of physical laws.

Their performance was part of an innovative project designed to bring scientific concepts closer to children and youth in a creative and engaging way. By combining ballet and physics, the audience had the opportunity to experience how the principles of science influence our everyday movements – especially in the world of dance.

The artistic performance by our students was not only beautiful to watch – it was also deeply educational. With every leap, pirouette, and balanced pose, the ballerinas demonstrated how the laws of gravity, inertia, rotation, and equilibrium govern motion. Accompanied by expert lecturers and ballet educators, visitors learned how physics is present in every ballet move – from the initial impulse to the perfect landing.

This conceptual approach to learning aligns perfectly with the philosophy of Primary School Savremena – integrating knowledge across disciplines, nurturing creativity, and encouraging students to think beyond traditional boundaries.

Marija, Petra, Lucija, and Siena not only represented our school in the best possible light, but also served as an inspiration to their peers to explore and connect different areas of interest. Their dedication, discipline, and passion for both ballet and science were evident in every movement on stage.
