Outstanding Success of Our Students at the “Misliša” Competition

First Prize and National-Level Qualification for a Second Grade Student

On 13 March, students from our school participated in the National Mathematics Competition “Misliša”, which gathers elementary school students from across Serbia with the goal of promoting a love for mathematics and fostering logical thinking among young learners. We are proud to announce that our students achieved remarkable results, confirming the dedication and quality of work we strive for at our school.

The highest recognition this year went to Mikhail Khorenko from Primary School Savremena, a second-grade student, who won first prize and thus qualified for the national level of the competition, which will be held on 27 April. We are especially delighted by this extraordinary success, as it shows that even our youngest students can shine at major competitions when talent is combined with hard work and strong support.

Mathematics as a Game and a Challenge

The “Misliša” competition is not just an opportunity to test knowledge, but also a chance to experience mathematics as a game, a challenge, and a space for creative thinking. Students solved problems that required ingenuity, logic, and careful reasoning, as well as the ability to stay focused under time pressure.

For that reason, participating in competitions like this is a valuable experience for all students – not just because of the awards, but also because of personal growth and the development of confidence. We are proud that our students face such challenges with smiles and enthusiasm, and we will continue to support them every step of the way.
