Our elementary students achieved remarkable results at the recently held city-level English competition, securing high positions in various categories, thus qualifying for the national competition.

In the special category, Tara Ponjević from class VII-1 shined with her outstanding performance, rightfully winning first place. Her dedication and talent were unparalleled, setting high standards in this category.

In the general category, students of Savremena Elementary School also showed exceptional success. Dunja Blagojević from class VII-2 won second place, while Mihailo Vukotić from VII-3 took third place, demonstrating outstanding dedication and skill. Natalija Valjarević from VIII-1 also secured a high second place in the general category for her grade. With these results, all students qualified for the national competition.

In today’s global and dynamic society, with the openness brought by the internet, proficiency in the English language is a necessary condition for an educated and successful individual of the 21st century. Mastery of the English language opens a window to the world for students, providing access to a wealth of information, and the educational process is enriched when its participants are able to understand materials in English.

Research indicates that parts of the brain responsible for language are in a phase of rapid growth from ages 6 to 13. Therefore, language is best acquired during these years. That is why Savremena pays special attention to the English language, and these results of our students are a true confirmation of this continuous and dedicated work and practice, both by teachers and students.

By qualifying for the national competition, students have the opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge at an even higher level, while the school continues its mission to encourage and develop the talents of its students in all areas.
