Mina Stoiljković Won First Place at City Singing Competition

DEMUS Competition

The city-level DEMUS competition “Golden Siren” is one of the most recognized music events in Belgrade, an opportunity for young talents to showcase their voice, interpretation, and stage presence. This year as well, the competition gathered the most talented young singers from the capital. Among them, Mina Stoiljković, a sixth-grade student at Savremena Primary School, stood out as the most successful – winning first prize.

First place at the city competition is not a random success. It is the result of talent, work, dedication, and the courage to stand before an audience and jury and convey emotion through song. Mina showed all of that – a confident performance, clear voice, musicality, and a presence that leaves an impression. And the jury recognized the quality.

Music as Part of Identity

For Mina, music is not just an extracurricular activity – it is part of who she is. Singing requires discipline, regular practice, work on technique, but also the courage to show what is felt. Competitions like DEMUS provide young singers with the opportunity to experience what it means to perform in front of an audience, deal with stage fright, control voice and emotions, and show what they have learned.

Mina went through all these phases during preparation for the competition – from choosing the song, through practice, to the final performance. And each step was part of a process that builds not only a musician, but also self-confidence, perseverance, and the ability to achieve goals through effort.

School and Family Support

Success at the competition is the result not only of Mina’s talent, but also of the support she received – from her family, music teacher Krasa Bošković, and an environment that nurtures the development of talents. Savremena Primary School recognizes the importance of extracurricular activities and encouraging students to develop their interests, whether it be sports, art, science, or music.

When a school provides space and support for students to be who they are – athletes, artists, researchers, musicians – results come. And they are visible at competitions like this. We thank teacher Krasa Bošković for her dedication and work with Mina, which contributed to this exceptional success.

Congratulations to Mina Stoiljković on winning first prize at the city DEMUS competition “Golden Siren”! Her success is an inspiration to all Savremenci who nurture their talent and show that effort and dedication are rewarded. We are proud of you, Mina! 🎤🏆
