Practising multiplication tables at Savremena Primary School goes far beyond memorising facts and filling in notebooks. In one of the recent maths lessons, Savremenci had the opportunity to revise and strengthen their knowledge through play and friendly competition, using an interactive board and digital tasks. Instead of sitting at their desks, pupils stood up, approached the board, thought quickly, and reacted even faster. The goal of the lesson was clear – to practise multiplication in a way that is dynamic, motivating, and genuinely engaging for children.
The pupils took turns solving tasks, finding matching pairs, and connecting numbers with mathematical expressions, all while following clear rules and maintaining a healthy competitive spirit. Every correct answer earned points, but also sparked excitement, applause, and encouragement from classmates. The classroom atmosphere was full of energy – the joy of a correct solution was often celebrated with a jump, a smile, or a friendly pat on the shoulder. Through this approach, mathematics became a challenge embraced with enthusiasm, rather than a task that simply had to be completed.
