When learning becomes play, and play becomes a chance to grow
Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag
During their creative workshop, preschoolers showed that their imagination knows no limits. With just a bit of paper, colours, and clay, they created small works of art – from cheerful smileys to imaginative ornaments and figures. These activities help children develop fine motor skills and concentration, while teaching them how to turn simple materials into something special. In this process of creation, children discover that even their smallest ideas can become great achievements when expressed through their own hands.

Laughter and colours leading to new knowledge
The classroom was filled with colours, laughter, and the sound of children sharing moments together. Preschoolers learned that every colour, shape, and line can tell a story and carry meaning. In this way, learning wasn’t seen as a duty, but as an opportunity to imagine and explore. When children learn through joy, knowledge stays with them longer and becomes part of their everyday experience. These kinds of lessons connect play with learning, showing children that every new challenge can be both fun and meaningful.
When hands join together, magic happens in the classroom
Working in groups taught preschoolers that they can achieve more together. They shared materials, ideas, and tasks, discovering that each contribution, no matter how small, makes the final work richer and more beautiful. Through collaboration, they learned the importance of teamwork, empathy, and listening to others. These experiences are key for building social skills, showing children that friendship and togetherness give the strength to achieve big results. When little hands join forces, the classroom becomes a place of real magic and connection.
Play as the foundation of learning
For preschoolers, play is the most natural way to learn, and these workshops proved that even serious skills can be built through fun. While making figures and drawings, children learned to be patient, to complete what they started, and to solve small challenges that appeared along the way. Such moments build the foundation for future school success, because they teach persistence and self-confidence. When children discover that learning can be fun, they develop a lasting curiosity and motivation to grow every single day.
Savremena – A place where imagination finds its home
At Savremena Primary School, we believe that creativity is just as important as knowledge from textbooks. That’s why our preschoolers are given opportunities from day one to learn in an environment that nurtures curiosity, teamwork, and values that form the basis of every success. These activities show that Savremena is a place where imagination isn’t limited, but celebrated as part of daily learning. Our youngest students grow into confident, creative, and independent individuals – ready to turn their ideas into great achievements in the future.
