Little guests on a digital adventure
Pepper — the friend who talks, dances, and inspires
Savremena Primary School welcomed a group of curious young visitors from Adaland Kindergarten in Belgrade, and their host was none other than the humanoid robot Pepper — the school’s technological superhero and a true symbol of innovation in education. From the very first moment, the children were amazed by Pepper’s appearance and movements: he greeted them, talked, danced, and answered their questions.
Their initial curiosity quickly turned into laughter and excitement as they realised they were interacting with a real robot. Pepper isn’t just fun — he’s educational, too. Introducing children to this kind of technology helps develop their digital literacy, logical thinking, and even empathy through friendly interaction with technology tailored to their age. Experiences like this mark their first steps into the world of future technology in a warm, safe, and inspiring way.

Learning through play — MeeBot Kit and LEGO Bricks
After meeting Pepper, the children explored the world of MeeBot robots and LEGO bricks. Through play, they discovered how simple parts can be combined into moving structures, explored basic mechanics, and enjoyed programming simple movements.
Working in small groups, they built and activated their own robots, with each successful attempt greeted by applause and excited cheers. MeeBot Kits are designed to introduce children to STEM — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — in a fun and engaging way, encouraging them to solve problems creatively. LEGO bricks further sparked their imagination, turning familiar toys into unique and inventive constructions. In that moment, technology wasn’t something distant — it was right in their hands.
Tablets and VR Glasses — A Glimpse into the Future
One of the most exciting moments for the little visitors was experiencing VR glasses and interactive tablets. As soon as they put on the VR headsets, their faces lit up — they stepped into a vibrant virtual world full of colours, movement, and interactive content designed to spark curiosity. Virtual reality allows children to explore and learn in a way that goes far beyond the traditional classroom: through movement, real-time engagement, and emotion.
Tablets gave them the chance to explore interactive tasks at their own pace, building their digital skills and independence. This powerful combination of modern technologies showed how learning can be personalised and inspiring for every child. For many, this was their very first encounter with VR — an experience they’ll remember for a long time.
Learning That Inspires the Youngest
The visit from Adaland Kindergarten showed just how powerfully innovative approaches can inspire children at an early age. The combination of technology and play encourages curiosity, develops logical thinking, strengthens confidence, and teaches teamwork and communication.
These kinds of experiences help children understand that technology isn’t just about screens and devices — it’s a tool that connects people and opens new doors. Schools that embrace innovations such as Pepper robots, VR technology, and interactive STEM tools create stimulating learning environments that children truly remember. When learning is based on experience, its impact lasts a lifetime.
Savremena — A School That Builds the Future
For years, Savremena Primary School has been proving that technology is not just a tool — it’s a bridge to knowledge, discovery, and the future. Our programmes are built on the belief that digital literacy develops through experience, play, and curiosity rather than theory alone. This time, our doors were wide open to the little explorers from Adaland Kindergarten, who left the school full of impressions, smiles, and questions.
Their excitement throughout the visit was the best proof that innovation truly inspires — even the youngest learners. In a fast-changing world, these kinds of experiences help children grow into curious, confident, and future-ready explorers.
