Little Explorers in the World of Imagination: First-Grade Students Enjoyed the Play “Gulliver”
A Journey Through Worlds Big and Small
The I-2 students had the opportunity to dive into the magical world of imagination and adventure as they watched the play “Gulliver”. This unforgettable theatrical performance, inspired by the famous novel “Gulliver’s Travels”, brought laughter, excitement, and important life lessons to our young audience.
The play “Gulliver” took our youngest students on a fantastic adventure through extraordinary lands, from the tiny world of the Lilliputians, where everyone is as small as a finger, to the land of giants, where Gulliver himself was as little as a toy. Each scene was filled with engaging dialogues, humorous moments, and valuable messages, encouraging children to think about courage, friendship, and the joy of exploring the unknown.
The students watched with excitement, laughing, marveling at the stage effects, and enjoying the imaginative costumes and puppets that brought Gulliver’s world to life.
Theater as a Window into Creativity

At Primary School Savremena, we place great emphasis on fostering creativity and artistic expression in children. Theater visits are part of our approach to learning through experience, as we believe that theatrical performances do more than just entertain – they inspire, educate, and encourage children to think critically and creatively.
By watching Gulliver’s journey, students connected with the main character, learned about perseverance and bravery, and discovered the importance of respecting different people and cultures, no matter how different they may seem.
Student Impressions: “We Want More Adventures Like This!”
After the play, students eagerly shared their impressions with big smiles on their faces. “It felt like we were traveling with Gulliver!”, “My favorite part was when Gulliver met the Lilliputians!”, “We want more plays like this!” – these were just some of the excited reactions echoing through the school hallways after this magical experience.
This theater visit once again proved how powerful art can be in inspiring, educating, and connecting children to the world of stories and imagination. We are looking forward to new theatrical adventures and can’t wait for the next play!
