Life Skills Programme: Raising Awareness About Ecology and the Importance of Recycling
Primary School Savremena Students Learn How to Make the World a Better Place
As part of the Life Skills programme, students at Primary School Savremena learned about recycling in a creative and educational way. Through hands-on activities, they demonstrated how old and seemingly useless materials can be transformed into new, useful items, while developing ecological awareness, creativity, and teamwork skills.
Creative Little Hands in Action: Birdhouses and Flower Pots Made from Recycled Materials

With lots of enthusiasm and imagination, students used various recycled materials to make birdhouses and unique flower pots. Old cardboard, plastic bottles, cans, and other waste materials were transformed – thanks to a bit of paint and effort – into interesting and functional items. This activity helped students understand how waste can be given a new purpose, while also fostering care for nature and animals.
From Shell to Life: Planting in Eggshells
One of the most exciting parts of the workshop was planting seeds in eggshells. Children learned that even the smallest thing, like a shell, can become a home for new life. Through this activity, they connected the concept of recycling with sustainability, while also developing patience and responsibility by caring for the seedlings they planted themselves.
At Primary School Savremena students gain practical knowledge and life skills every day, empowering them to grow into responsible, creative, and independent young individuals ready to face the challenges of the modern world.
