Learning in nature - Savremena Primary students on Tara mountain

Laughter, friendship and unforgettable memories

The students of Savremena Primary School enjoyed an unforgettable recreational trip on one of the most beautiful mountains in Serbia — Tara. During five days surrounded by nature, they had the chance to socialise, explore, learn through play and experience the first real winter magic of the season.

Experiences like this are an important part of growing up, as they encourage independence, responsibility and mutual trust among students. The recreational trip to Tara has become a cherished tradition that combines education with fun, and the children return home enriched with new experiences and lasting friendships.

First winter magic

One of the most exciting moments of the trip was playing in the snow, which brought smiles to everyone’s faces. Snowball fights, building snowmen and running through snowy paths filled the days with energy and joy. For many students, this was the first snowfall they experienced this season, making the atmosphere even more special.

Fresh mountain air and outdoor activities helped the children spend quality time outside, connect with nature and bond in ways they never could in a classroom. These moments become lasting memories and a treasured part of their school experience.

Costume party and pyjama night

In addition to outdoor adventures, students also took part in various evening activities that made their trip even more memorable. The costume party was a wonderful opportunity to showcase their imagination and creativity through colourful and playful outfits, filling the evening with laughter, dancing and joy.

The pyjama night was equally fun — the children enjoyed music, games and warm conversations, creating memories that strengthen friendships and build a sense of community. Such moments show how school can be more than just a place of learning — it can be a space where children grow through shared experiences and emotions.

Friendships and memories that last

The recreational trip to Tara was more than just a journey — it was a chance for students to step outside the classroom and experience the world in a new way. During their stay, they learned to collaborate, respect one another and enjoy shared moments.
The mountain became a place where new friendships were formed, laughter echoed, and small adventures unfolded — moments they’ll carry with them for years to come. These experiences remain a cherished part of school life and remind us how powerful shared joy, play and connection can be.
