Primary School Savremena recently welcomed preschoolers from Igralište Kindergarten, who visited with their teachers to take part in a specially designed robotics workshop. In the spirit of exploration, play, and learning, the little ones were introduced to the world of modern technology and experienced an unforgettable day in an environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and the joy of discovery.

Throughout the visit, the children engaged in carefully planned activities and interacted with the same innovative tools and robots that our students use in everyday learning. The goal of the workshop was to present technology to young minds in a fun and age-appropriate way – something that was clearly achieved, judging by the smiles and excitement on their faces.

The first part of the workshop focused on exploring the Osmo interactive learning system, which allowed the children to draw, solve puzzles, and play by combining physical pieces with digital content. This was followed by a hands-on experience with the Miko robot, a friendly AI-powered device that communicates with children and teaches them through conversation and play.

However, the real star of the day was the humanoid robot Pepper, who amazed the preschoolers with its movements, speech, and ability to interact. The kids instantly bonded with Pepper, seeing it as a futuristic friend who encourages learning and discovery in the most delightful way.

After their tech adventures, the preschoolers from Igralište turned to creative building with LEGO bricks, constructing robots, cities, and vehicles. This hands-on activity helped enhance their spatial awareness, coordination, and teamwork – all through playful learning.

To top off the day, the children embarked on a thrilling 9D Starship experience, taking them on a virtual journey through space. With realistic effects and motion simulation, the interactive ride made them feel like true space explorers – and, as many of them said, it was the highlight of their day.

The excitement, wonder, and curiosity shown by the children from Igralište Kindergarten during their visit are a reminder of how important it is to give young learners the chance to explore through movement, experience, and play.
