I Have the Right to Dream
A special day marked as part of Children’s Week
To celebrate Children’s Week, students of Savremena Primary School took part in one of the most beautiful activities — “I Have the Right to Dream.” The goal was to allow children to freely express themselves, share their dreams, and show how they imagine an ideal world.
Sitting on the “Magic Chair of Imagination,” students closed their eyes and envisioned the world the way they wanted it to be, then shared their ideas aloud. This special moment brought plenty of laughter, warmth, and heartfelt answers. Each sentence was unique, revealing just how imaginative, creative, and aware children are of the world around them.

The world through children’s eyes
Their answers were full of imagination, but also carried meaningful messages. One student wished for a world without pollution, another dreamed of cities without cars, while a third imagined a world where every child has a safe home and a loving family.
Some envisioned schools with animals in the classrooms, others imagined a world where people talk more and help one another. The students showed they understand the importance of protecting nature, spreading kindness, and building community. Their ideas were simple, yet powerful — just the way only children’s hearts can imagine.
Imagination as a driver of change
Through this activity, children learned that imagination can be the first step toward real change. They talked about what they can do to make their world better — from protecting nature to showing more care for others.
Teachers encouraged them to write down their ideas and turn them into small, achievable goals they can act on in their daily lives. With big smiles, the children concluded that even small gestures can make a big difference. They realised they are not just observers, but active participants in shaping a better world.
The right to dream — the right to create change
Children’s Week reminded us how important children’s voices are and how inspiring their ideas can be. The “I Have the Right to Dream” activity showed that children are ready to think boldly and believe in their dreams.
Their stories reflect a world where kindness, play, freedom, and respect prevail. At Savremena Primary School, activities like this nurture creativity and encourage students to believe in their ideas — because big and beautiful changes often begin with children’s dreams.
