Life skills program: Healthy Habits for a Happy Childhood

Workshop with Dr Momčilo Matić - Learning about the importance of nutrition, physical activity, and sleep through an educational and inspiring lecture

As part of the Life Skills programme, focused on developing healthy lifestyle habits, students of Primary School Savremena attended a workshop led by Dr Momčilo Matić. The topic of the lecture was the importance of healthy eating, regular physical activity, and sufficient sleep for proper growth and development in children.

Healthy Body – Healthy Mind: An Important Lesson for Young Students

In an engaging and age-appropriate way, Dr Matić spoke about how crucial it is to move every day, eat a balanced diet without overindulging in sweets and snacks, and get enough sleep each night. Through conversation and real-life examples, students learned how to recognize unhealthy habits and what they can do to feel better and stay healthy.

Additives Under the Microscope: Children Learned What We Actually Consume

A special part of the workshop was dedicated to food additives. Dr Matić brought examples of common additives and explained their harmful effects, helping children learn how to read food labels and choose healthier alternatives. The students followed the presentation with great interest and asked many thoughtful questions.

Gratitude and Gifts: Three Students Received Signed Books

To wrap up the workshop, Dr Matić surprised three students by gifting them his books with personal dedications. This thoughtful gesture further inspired the children to adopt healthy habits and take good care of their bodies and overall well-being.

At Primary School Savremena students learn life skills every day, empowering them from an early age to make good and responsible choices for their health and their future.
