Fun science in the classroom: Exploring water properties through experiments
The students had the opportunity to step into the shoes of young scientists. Luka and Iva prepared experiments to explore the properties of water, turning the classroom into a real laboratory. Through practical demonstrations, they investigated which substances dissolve in water, which partially dissolve, and which remain insoluble.
Hands-on learning about solutions
The experiment began with an introduction to basic concepts—what solutions are and how water interacts with different substances. The students carefully observed what happens when salt, sugar, oil, and sand are added to water. They quickly discovered that salt and sugar completely dissolve, oil floats on the surface, and sand settles at the bottom, forming a unique structure.
Science through play
This engaging and interactive process not only helped students gain new knowledge in chemistry but also developed their research skills. They asked questions, analyzed results, and drew conclusions through fun activities. Such experiences allow children to see science as part of everyday life and recognize its importance in shaping the world around us.
Refreshing insights
After successfully completing the experiments, the students took a moment to refresh themselves and reflect on their discoveries. They learned how water interacts with different substances and why it is vital for life on Earth. The atmosphere in the classroom was filled with joy, curiosity, and excitement as all participants demonstrated how thrilling science can be when presented through practical activities.
This day proved that science is not just found in books—it’s all around us, offering endless opportunities for exploration and fun!
