DANICA COLNARIĆ

Danica obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, at the Department of English. In her final year of undergraduate studies, she was awarded the “Dositeja” scholarship for young talents. In order to further improve her language skills, Danica successfully completed a one-year seminar for scientific and professional translators and court interpreters at the Association of Scientific and Technical Translators. Besides English and Serbian, Danica also speaks Russian.

Already during the third year of her studies, she started volunteering, first within the organisation “Jezički koktel”, a free language school for primary and secondary school students and college students, then in a PR agency as an intern, and since 2015 she has been working in private language schools, where she taught English to children and adults, Serbian to foreigners, and successfully prepared a large number of students for taking the following international exams: PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL and IELTS.

Given that she wrote her Master’s thesis on a topic from the field of literature, Danica wants to show her students the importance of books and reading in today’s times and encourage them to read on their own in order to expand their vocabulary, both in English and in their mother tongue.
