One of the highlights was Geo Challenge: Discover the World, where students explored geography through map orientation, GPS tools, Google Earth, and the interactive game GeoGuessr, trying to identify hidden places around the globe. The competitive spirit boosted concentration, and every correct answer was followed by spontaneous applause and team encouragement.
In the workshop “Brain vs. Senses – Who Wins?”, students tested their senses through mystery boxes, tasting challenges, and perception experiments that demonstrated how powerful—and sometimes misleading—our brains can be. Surprising results sparked both laughter and thoughtful discussions about how perception works.
Particular excitement surrounded the Conversations with Artificial Intelligence session, where students asked AI questions that genuinely interested them. They were fascinated by the way AI responded and “reasoned,” opening discussions about technology and its role in the modern world.
In the STEM Experiment Zone, students explored physics and electricity through hands-on tasks. A major highlight was creating a “home volcano” using baking soda, dish detergent, and food coloring. The eruption moment triggered loud excitement and proved that science can be both spectacular and fun.
Corner Day was not only about science and technology—it was also a celebration of art and language. During the pottery workshop, students carefully shaped clay into vases, figurines, and decorative items, proudly presenting their creations to one another. Many emphasized how meaningful it was to take their work home or give it as a gift.
Through the activity Literature on the Map, students connected literature and geography by creating a blank map of Serbia enriched with literary motifs. Meanwhile, in Word Masters – The Language Game and the Word Scramble Competition, they developed their English language skills through fast-paced vocabulary challenges. Classrooms were filled with competitive energy, but also with teamwork and mutual support.
Corner Day once again showed that learning can be an experience worth remembering. Savremena students embraced this different school rhythm with genuine enthusiasm, and their feedback at the end of the day was clear—this approach motivates, inspires, and transforms knowledge into adventure. When school becomes a space for exploration and creation, learning naturally becomes joy.
