Children’s Week - I have the right to create a better world

Children’s imagination as a driver of change

As part of Children’s Week, students of Savremena Primary School participated in a creative and inspiring workshop titled “I Have the Right to Create a Better World.” This activity was dedicated to encouraging children to freely express their ideas about the world they want to live in — a world without injustice, pollution, violence, or sadness.
Through drawings, collages, and conversations, students showed just how powerful their imagination is and how clearly they understand the importance of togetherness, love, and responsibility. Their works were colourful, sincere, and filled with messages of hope. Each idea represented a small step toward a warmer, fairer, and more beautiful world — and a reminder that children often shape the most genuine visions of tomorrow.

Children’s work that inspires

The students began by talking about what a “better world” means to them and then translated their thoughts into drawings and short messages. Some drew clean nature and rivers, others imagined a world without cars where people walk and ride bikes, and some envisioned a society where everyone helps and respects each other. There were also works that depicted a world full of play, smiles, and love.
Through these small artistic creations, children proved that even the youngest can have big and clear ideas about how to make the world a better place for all of us. Each drawing carried a powerful message and emotion, and together they formed a real network of hope and positive change. Their creativity and honesty reminded everyone how children can be true agents of change in society.

Creativity as a way of expression

This workshop was not just an art activity but also an important lesson on freedom of expression and the value of creativity. Children had the chance to think freely, express their views, and imagine without limits. Through conversation and teamwork, they learned that every idea matters — because great change often begins with imagination.
The classroom was filled with colours, laughter, and enthusiasm that day. Students proudly presented their artwork and explained what a better world means to them. Their words and drawings reminded everyone present how important it is to listen to children’s voices and learn from their simplicity and honesty.

A world shaped for children

Savremena Primary School nurtures the idea that every child has the right to create, to imagine, and to actively participate in building a better future. The activity “I Have the Right to Create a Better World” clearly showed how capable children are of thinking critically and influencing their surroundings — even through the simplest drawings.
This workshop was more than just an art class — it was a message of hope, trust, and faith in future generations. When we give children the space to create and express themselves, we create a world that is more genuine, creative, and warm. Their messages reminded us that a better world is possible — if we build it together. 🌟
