SAVREMENA BLOX
Fun, play and learning through technology
SAVREMENA BLOX, an interactive educational event designed for children aged 4 to 14, was held on 29 and 30 May in Hall 5 of the Belgrade Fair. Over the course of two days, visitors had the opportunity to step into a space where learning was experienced through movement, play, technology and direct participation.
The theme of the event was “Serbia Through Time”, and children explored it in a fun and interactive way – through pixel games on the illuminated floor, creative tasks, STEM challenges and modern educational tools. Instead of traditional learning, children discovered important symbols, events and interesting facts from Serbia’s past through activities that encouraged them to think, connect ideas and actively participate.
The pupils of Savremena Primary School gave a special atmosphere to the event by helping visitors, presenting activities and showing how knowledge can be shared with confidence and a smile. Their energy, curiosity and willingness to be part of this experience made SAVREMENA BLOX an event to remember.
This gathering once again showed that learning can be exciting, active and completely different when technology, play and children’s imagination come together.

Workshops of the Future That Spark Curiosity
During the event, children took part in a variety of interactive workshops that connected technology, creativity, logic and teamwork. At the OSMO workshop, they made their first programming steps through play, using cards, tasks and digital feedback that helped them understand coding logic in a simple and engaging way.
At the STEM table, visitors solved challenges, activated robots and discovered how knowledge from different fields can be connected through practical tasks. Sphero Race allowed children to control smart balls through obstacles, developing precision, focus and planning skills. The LEGO Builders workshop was a space for building, designing and teamwork, where ideas quickly turned into colourful constructions.
The encounters with robots also attracted great interest, especially Pepper, Savremena’s robot teacher, and MIKO AI Buddy. Through conversations, questions and digital displays, children learned more about the possibilities of artificial intelligence and robotics. A particularly exciting experience came from the pixel games on the illuminated floor, where participants solved tasks through movement, speed and team coordination in a completely different learning environment.
Each workshop was designed so that every child could be an active participant – to try, build, move, make mistakes, try again and reach a solution with a smile.
Learning Remembered Through Experience
SAVREMENA BLOX brought together children, parents and everyone who believes that education can be modern, creative and connected to the world in which children are growing up. Through workshops, play and encounters with technology, visitors learned about Serbia, history, robotics, programming, creative expression and teamwork, while also developing important skills for the future.
The most beautiful part of the event was seeing children smile as they tried new tools, asked questions, solved tasks and discovered that knowledge can be gained through movement, touch and exploration. It was especially inspiring to see pupils of Savremena Primary School in the role of hosts and helpers, showing responsibility, confidence and readiness to share their knowledge with others.
At Savremena Primary School, we believe that experiences like this show what the education of the future can look like. When technology, creativity and children’s curiosity come together, learning becomes inspiring and motivating. SAVREMENA BLOX was another example that knowledge can become an adventure – one that is remembered, talked about and continued through new questions and ideas.
