A Truly Different Kind of Math Class

A creative and hands-on math lesson delighted students this morning

The children enthusiastically accepted the challenge given by their teacher – not only to recognize geometric shapes but to construct and use them in a hands-on activity. During the lesson, the classroom was filled with colors, smiles, and cheerful chatter, as the students fully engaged in teamwork, shared materials, and helped one another create their projects.

A highlight of the class was the final activity – an exhibition of their work displayed on classroom boards, where everyone had the chance to proudly present their own little mathematical creations. The atmosphere was both productive and joyful, and the knowledge they gained is now deeply connected with positive emotions and personal experience.

Thinking Outside the Math Book – Literally!

This morning’s math class in III-2 was anything but ordinary – instead of notebooks and pencils, students picked up scissors, colorful paper, and rulers. The goal? To explore the wonders of geometric shapes through play and hands-on creation.

The classroom transformed into a small geometry workshop where squares, triangles, and rectangles came to life in the students’ hands. Not only did they learn about shapes, they also felt them – cutting, assembling, and gluing – because knowledge that passes through the fingertips often stays the longest.

Creativity as a Tool for Understanding

The teacher of III-2 decided to blend theory and practice into a unique lesson that showed math can be learned with joy. Through teamwork, students not only strengthened their math skills but also developed cooperation, precision, and creative thinking.

When learning is wrapped in curiosity and play, great results follow – and the students can’t wait for their next challenge!
