Classroom Without Walls: Savremena Students Start the School Year with Outdoor Excursions

Students of Savremena Primary School kicked off the new school year with trips and outdoor activities, learning and bonding in nature.

Savremena students started the new school year in a special way – with outdoor excursions as part of the “Classroom Without Walls” initiative. This creative and inspiring idea allowed students from all grades to step out of the classroom and learn in a natural setting, gaining invaluable experiences and memories.

Younger students spent an unforgettable day in Sremski Karlovci and on Fruška Gora. As they strolled through the streets of this historic town, the children had the opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of Karlovci, taste the famous local pancakes, and visit some of the city’s most renowned landmarks. Afterwards, they headed to Fruška Gora, where they enjoyed a day filled with fresh air, sports activities, laughter, and the natural beauty of this national park.

Older students, from fifth to eighth grade, enjoyed sports activities on Ada Ciganlija. This day was a chance for them to showcase their athletic skills, bond with their peers, and develop a sense of teamwork through various games. In addition to the fun, these excursions provided a unique opportunity for students to relax and enjoy informal learning, far from the traditional classroom setting.

The “Classroom Without Walls” excursions have proven to be a fantastic way for students to connect with nature, strengthen friendships, and prepare for the challenges of the new school year.

There’s no doubt these experiences will be long remembered, as Savremena continues to offer its students an education that is truly different.
