A Sweet Task for Little Chefs
Students learn important life lessons about cooperation, teamwork and sharing through a creative and delicious workshop
In the spirit of Unity Week, students from Class III-3 of Primary School Savremena showed just how fun – and tasty – togetherness can be! Today’s pastry workshop transformed their classroom into a delightful mini bakery, where students worked in teams to make sweet treats using Plazma biscuits. This activity was not only a chance to develop fine motor skills and spark creativity, but also a valuable lesson in what real collaboration looks like.
Each team was given the task of creating their sweet dish together, with every student playing a specific role – some crushed the biscuits, others shaped the dough into balls, while others added ingredients. Together, they made decisions about the look and taste of their treats. Though the task was sweet, the goals ran deeper: fostering a sense of teamwork, mutual understanding and joint decision-making.

Sweets as a Tool for Learning Cooperation
The workshop was designed to teach students meaningful values – the kind not found in textbooks – through a fun and engaging activity. Through the simple yet thoughtfully planned process of making desserts, students had to listen to each other, negotiate, respect different opinions and solve small “sweet” challenges together. In this way, the Plazma balls became a symbol of what can be achieved when everyone in a team works towards a shared goal.
Teachers proudly observed their little teams as they approached the task with seriousness, showing responsibility, patience and a willingness to help one another. The classroom atmosphere was filled with laughter, the scent of vanilla and a sense of pride that only comes when you create something yourself – and then share it with others.
Togetherness That’s Shared – and Eaten!
At the end of the workshop, the result wasn’t just a table full of colourful and fragrant sweets, but also a room full of smiling faces and hearts filled with pride. The students joyfully shared their homemade treats with peers from other classes and their teachers, demonstrating that joy grows when it is shared. That act of giving was the icing on the cake – clear proof that the students had truly embraced the spirit of Unity Week.
This pastry workshop will be remembered as one of the sweetest and most meaningful moments in the school lives of Class III-3 students. Through play and teamwork, they learned the value of being part of a group, trusting others and contributing to a common goal.
Primary School Savremena is proud of its young learners who, day by day, show how powerful unity can be – and how much it can sweeten life.
